What is Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is an ancient Chinese technique that uses small silicone or plastic cups as a local deduction device on the skin to enhance blood flow and promote effective healing. Massage oils are applied to the skin to improve movement of the glass cups to cause the skin and superficial muscles to be drawn into the cup. This uses a gentle pressure to lift the skin upwards making the patient relaxed and providing a relieving sensation.
Cupping therapy has been scientifically proven to reduce inflammation, release muscle tension and promote blood flow to heal injuries. In addition, cupping therapy promotes blood and lymph circulation which could help with treatments of cellulite, varicose veins and scar tissue.
Conditions helped by Cupping:
Cupping is different from massage therapy, where techniques typically involve compression and deep tissue techniques.
After your cupping there is often marks that look like bruises, however, that is false. If the cupping was done correctly no bruising will occur after your treatment. However, the marks that are under the skin are, post cupping dead cellular debris, pathogenic factors, stagnation but more importantly toxins being drawn out of your system.
